Clothes and accessories for Dark-age re-enactment still account for a large proportion of Thorhild’s output, though she is increasingly asked to make garments from other eras. See the Gallery page for pictures of past customers wearing their clothing. 

Recent commissions include Roman, Celtic, Russian and medieval clothes, whilst the Victorian army grey-back shirt has proved popular.

New tablet braid page. Good quality tablet braid is an essential trim for the discerning Viking, so Thorhild can put you in touch with Elina, an expert tablet weaver. 

Everything is made to individual requirements giving you a unique garment or accessory. Items can be made using fabric you have already, or Thorhild will endeavour to find fabric for your individual needs.

The Dark Age range includes Kyrtles, trousers, hoods, hats and cloaks. Also early medieval surcotes, hose & coifs.

Repairs and alteration to garments can also be done on request.
