Thorhild is an experienced re-enactor and school visitor, who offers a variety of services and resources for the educational sector and fellow re-enactors. She makes a variety of clothing and accessories not only for Dark Age but also for the Victorian period. She also provides costumes for teachers and pupils to wear during school visits.
With a background combining theatre production and nine years in primary education, Thorhild is able to provide an unforgettable visit which will inspire children to investigate their history further, and which provides a unique opportunity to bring history to life. In addition to school visits, Thorhild manufactures clothing and accessories for the re-enactment community, using fabrics and materials that pass stringent authenticity standards. As a member of The Vikings, Thorhild has participated in events for English Heritage, The National Trust, and the Royal Armouries. On her own she has given talks for hobby clubs and provided historical education days for Essex County Council. The Vikings have also worked extensively for television and film productions including the BBC, Channel 4, Discovery Channel and independent producers.
